A Shropshire composer's work is due to be performed at one of the Midlands most prestigious venues next month. Karen Kirkland will be at the Sing With Music Mark West Midlands at Birmingham's Symphony Hall on February 12th. The evening choral concert - Sing with Music Mark West Midlands at Birmingham Symphony Hall, will see Karen's choral work "A Peace Blessing" performed at the biennial singing showcase, comprised of nominated schools and choirs from across the region which represent 14 music services and leaders of 13 music education hubs in the West Midlands. A Peace Blessing was originally composed for the global project One Day One Choir - An inspiring global peace initiative which uses singing together to unite people around the world on Peace Day September 21st. The afternoon workshop and concert at Symphony Hall will also see the performance, by KS1/2 children, of "Mister Mole". from Karen's album "That sounds good to me".
